Materials

Sailcloth is the main material in our products and comes from sails that can't be used on boats anymore, since the cloth looses it's aerodynamic shape with time. It is still an excellent and strong material. Even if there is damage beyond repair, we can upcycle most of the parts to our products!

Today there are no good solutions to recycle sailcloth, and we think it makes excellent use in bags. Even old mooring lines or sheet lines make great straps on bags.

Another material we use is SEAQUAL® YARN, a fabric made of plastics collected on land and in the ocean. From this yarn, a fine textile is produced that we use as inner lining in our bags.

Upcycling

Upcycling is the re-use of already produced material. It is an effective way to contribute to a more sustainable future. We are confident in our products and guarantee to fix any faults, just get in touch!

But we also think one step further - should anything break or wear, it should not be thrown away. If we can make repairs in the future, we will do so to a reasonable price, because we believe in the idea of upcycling quality products.
